Stanislaus County Mock Trial

Event Info | Mock Trial Forms | Art/Journalism Info | Clerk of the Court Info | Scoring Attorney | Volunteer

Each year several high school teams (comprised of 18 to 25 students from each school) compete at the Stanislaus County Courthouse. Each trial is conducted by a superior court judge. The teams are rated by attorneys practicing in Stanislaus County. The winning high school team then competes in the state competition.

The annual High School Mock Trials competition provides an opportunity for students to apply the basic skills of listening, speaking, reading, and reasoning; to gain understanding of the link between our constitution and the substance of the law as applied by our courts and legal system; and to develop career awareness of the legal profession.
