Student Events

Elementary Spelling Championship

Event Information | Proctor Information | Contestant Information

 Each district may send their top spellers in grade 4-6 to the Stanislaus County Elementary Spelling Championship. Word lists are available to participating schools online.

Number of participants allowed is based on district K – 8 enrollment as follows:
Up to 990........2        1,000-2,999.......4     3,000-4,999......5      
5,000 -6,999....6        7,000-8,999......7      9,000-10,999....8      11,000 plus .......10

Participants receive a certificate of participation and a medal. The top two spellers will represent Stanislaus County at the state competition at the San Joaquin County Office of Education in Stockton on May 13, 2017 and the third place speller will serve as the alternate.

Note: Each participating school district provides a minimum of one proctor (for every two participants) to assist in conducting the event.

Registration: 5:00 PM
Championship begins promptly at 5:30 PM
